Newer Deal Agencies

Some people say that we are experiencing difficult economic times today, just like in the Great Depression. You will play the role of President Obama and create a government agency to combat one aspect of the crisis. Through research and creative design, you will:

1. Identify one area of society or the economy that needs help.
2. Research how you would help fix this problem.
3. Create a government agency to combat the problem.
4. Design a poster to inform the public about your new agency.
5. On a separate piece of paper, you will:
a. Write a paragraph describing the problem.
b. Write a paragragh describing how your agency will help fix the problem
c. Write a paragraph that explains your poster.
