  2. So I ran away I decided to follow H.Tubman, when I came across the house I didnt know what to do at first i was scared so i went the opposite way and heard things in the woods and seeing the fact that I'm a run away I didn't want to have to go back so i went to the house and surprisingly they let me in, because they help run away slaves. Then i came upon Canada and had to go across a very icy lake and then before i knew it i was freed at last.

  4. I began my journey by running away from Maryland, and following the guidance of Harriet Tubman. Soon enough I arrive in Delaware at a safehouse where I'm fed and housed. Then I go to Pennsylvania, where although slavery is not permitted, I'm still seen as property. This means I have to continue my journey to New York. There I'm housed & fed and prepared for the journey to Lake Erie on my way to freedom in Canada. In Canada I finally reach freedom.

  6. I ran off to Maryland, and then deciced to make the choice of meeting up with Harriet tubman. I decided to take the risk of knocking on the door of a "white's" house in Deleware. At the safehouse I am fed and housed. I then continue my journey to pennsylvania where slavery is not permitted but black's are still considered as property. I still need to go on and continue my jorney to New York, there I get housed and fed once again. I then begin my journey to Lake Erie on the way to Canada to my freedom.

  8. i wanted to leaved but feared my punishment if i got caught, but i decided to leave anyway, I followd the north star like H. Tubman said to and met up with her later, she showed me a "safe house" but i wasn't sure if i should go in and trust the white people, but the bounty hunters were close so i quickly went in and was treated with food and a warm place to stay. From the safe house i went to wilmington, delaware where Tomas Garrett helped me get through to rochester NY, it was a hard and depressing journey through the appalation mt. I met with F. Douglas and S.B. Anthony and they gave me warm clothes and made sure that i was safely transported to lake erie, the lake started to freeze over for winter so i either had to hop across the ice or see if someone would row me over, i tryed and sucessfuly made it across to canada where my freedom was but now i have to find employment and a place to stay!

  9. i first started in the fields, being a slave, which i didn't want to be. I heard my slaves friends talking, talking about escaping and finding freedom. I, myself, decided to go along with them, so i started off by following Harrit Tubman. From there it get sketcher and sketcher, but i stayed, we would snap twigs and it would scare me, every noise i made or we made, would make me thing, this is when were going to get caught. I talked to General Tubman, and went to Deleware with him. We found a light hanging on a door, i went in. That was probably one of the most smartet choices i have ever made. I had a nice warm welcome and some hot food. But, while i was sleeping, i heard dogs barking in the far, far, like the length freedom is away from me. I'm now in Wilimington, Deleware. I met Thomas Garrett there, he told me to see larger cities to go in Canada, so i considered it. A friend of Tubman's told us that they worked the underground railroad for almost 40 years, but a few years ago he was arrested, but he still doesn't care. From there i went to Phildelphia, New York,(250 miles), now going to Lake Erie. I get there and its already starting to freeze, i could hop across or get rowed, either way, i'm going to be freezing, so i choose to hop across. I'm sure glad i did, cause i made it! I'm free at last!
